Should I replace my vacuum with a steam mop?

Should I replace my vacuum with a steam mop? My 8-year old has allergic rhinitis and sneezes non-stop when there’s dust around so my vacuum cleaner and air purifier are considered as my most important household items. Anyway, my vacuum cleaner gave up on me after three years of service. Sneaky vacuum broke down a couple of months after warranty coverage! My friend suggested getting a steam mop instead because according to her, it cleans better.

I tried to do my research and I’m trying to take a pick from this list. I tried taking a look at reviews here as well but since I’m no steam mop expert, I’m not really sure! Please help me.

I have the Shark one and I love it but you still need to vacuum. You vacuum first then you stream mop.

A steam mop only replaces a traditional mop. You still need a vacuum.

I'd see the vacuum as more important. Buy both if funds permit.
