Removing make up from bedding

I spilled a lot of liquid foundation on my bed, all over the bedspread. Any sure fire ways to get rid? It was expensive bedding and a gift. It's still there after repeated washing.

I blotted up what I could and dabbed with cold water and pre-treat with Fairy washing up liquid and a Vanish spray. I then rubbed more Fairy in when it wasn't out and put on a longer wash, it's still there Sad

What is the bedspread made of?

It's just a thin cotton one, just got back from shopping and have attacked it again with a soap that was in the stain removal section, some more Vanish and rubbed that in.

Just saw the shaving foam tip in the link above so will try that when I can get some (I think I've read that before and it has to be just foam not a gel to foam one).

Fingers crossed, thanks for the link.
