I'm moving into a new (rented) home next week and want to get it as clean as possible beforehand. I'm having the carpets professionally cleaned but I could do with some tips on how to clean the kitchen and bathroom and any recommended products?

Thank you.

Soda crystals, steam, bleach and elbow-grease. I soak everything in boiling water and soda crystals!

Sugar soap for the kitchen and Oven Pride for the oven. You shouldn't have to scrub the place though.

Is it actually new or do you mean new to you?

Sorry I meant new to me! It smells a bit like dog and needs a good clean.

For the kitchen, you can't beat hot soapy water for cleaning out cupboards and worktops etc. Just hot water, washing up liquid and a cloth or sponge. Throw in some soda crystals, it'll do even better.
For the oven, have you looked into those oven valet services like Ovenu etc? Might be worth having done as a one off and then keeping on top of it yourself.
