Squash spilt on new carpet.

DD has just spilt a full glass of squash on the grand new fawn coloured carpet.
I've mopped it up with kitchen roll; what shall I do now to ensure it doesn't stain?

Get a towel, fold it up and put that over the mark and stand on it. No, I am not mad, but you need to get as much liquid out as you can. Then use cold water with a mild detergent - original Stardrops is good for this - and soak a cloth in it then wring it out so it's just damp. Then work it over mark to clean it off. If this doesn't work then get some soda water or fizzy water and pour over the mark. The fizz helps lift the stain out. Blot with a towel as before.
