Cast Iron Casserole Dish - Time to throw it away?

My cast iron ceramic coated casserole pot is badly stained having used it to cook with tomatoes and spices for many years.

I have scrubbed it with all kinds without much success. It doesn't bother me as I know it's clean.

There is now a chip in the bottom of pot
and a bit of the ceramic coating is now missing. Does anyone know whether this is going to continue to get worse (like a crack in a windscreen) or whether it would be harmful to the food to continue using it?

This is the only time of year when I'd be able to afford to replace the pot (sales) so I'd really appreciate your advice. Thanks!

Watching as I have the same issue with one of my Le Crusets. Loathe to chuck out as it was a wedding present (10 years ago) and much loved and can't really afford to replace right now Sad
