It's a real pain having the extra expense of these birthdays. One is a family friend , the others are kids from school...
Well done getting your xmas presents wrapped...it's satisfying to get them done isn't it?

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 20/12/2006 21:42

It is. But then i keep thinking has one DC got more than the other and should i buy something else to even them up!! DD2 i think has less so i might get her something else.

shouldbedeckingthehalls · 20/12/2006 21:46

dd has more than ds...I did start to worry about it but then ds will be v happy with waht he has and is more likely to play with toys as he opens them - dd will just want to open lots and play later so hope they won't notice

shouldbedeckingthehalls · 20/12/2006 21:48

by next year they may care more. I remember my db and I arguing over who had the most presents when we were growing up....

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 20/12/2006 21:53

Sometimes it value more than the amount! It might look more but less might of been more expensive stuff! I make lists as i go but always miss somethings off along the line!!

Decided the big box the newly wrapped ones are in can stay downstairs. They won't notice it under the unused table!!

shouldbedeckingthehalls · 20/12/2006 22:03

I keep a book/list too - makes it easier in the long run. Dd has had more £'s spent this year and it shows! I'm confident ds won't even think about that though cos he's getting what he's asked for (and he's only 3!) Our presents are now stashed under blanket in our bedroom - am hoping kids won't notice...

Hello all. I've read the whole thread but I'm pretty tired so I will just post a quick hello and I'll see you all tomorrow. I am going to get to bed early tonight as it has been midnight or later for days.

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 20/12/2006 22:14

Hi all.

Satinshoes. Glad DD2 is ok and loving her baths. My DD did not like her first bath but loved the rest. Now she does not like getting out.

tortoise Glad that Tesco sorted trifles and gave you a refund.
Its been cold at HNtree today. The heating was on all day but it was still cold. If it keeps up like this for a week, then we cold get a cold weather payment. Don't know why we cant have winter fuel payment like the old folk get. I would not care if they gave me it to me in tokens that had to be paid the the gas people, but it would be nice to have some money to help with fuel cost with littuns.

Well done on defrosting your freezer.
Least you did not have to do it like I had to b/c the door stayed open.

Hope your toe is ok now.
I still have some bits to wrap, but that will wait now until tomorrow night.

luda Glad you are feeling very chirpy and you are in a good mood. I have had a good day as well. Very Christmasy today.(more on that in a mo) I hope you are still in a good mood.

Shouldbe Hope the jacket potatoes were yummy.

EHM Hope your hair looks cool.and DH loves it.
Was the Indian tonight yummy? Did Ellie like it?
I have never had an Indian meal!

asleep You have done well today.

You can just boss your DP about when he is cooking your Christmas dinner.

Now my day. I will keep it short though! lol

We got up and ready to go to HNtrees for an early Christmas day as she is not going to be here for Christmas. DSS were very quick at getting ready today. The taxi got here at 10am as planed. It was lovely driving over with everywhere looking white. Really Christmasy. DC had loads of pressies to open. Then we had a great Christmas dinner. The works. I was stuffed and HNtree was still trying to get me to eat more. Then we had a fun afternoon, Playing games and chilling out. Then HNtree got the tea ready. To say "Im stuffed" is an under statement!!! We all had a great day. We did not get back until 8:15 and Dc were so tried they went to bed not long after we got home. Though I do have a DD sat with me now. I think she has got a bit over tired and over excited today and is in need of Mummy cuddles.

We will be going to bed soon. Just thought I would say "Hi" and share my day with you.

tortoise wish you could have been here too with your DC so you could of had a fun day too.

Only one thing today though. I cant have my Xmas pressie from HNtree until she comes back home in the new year. She said I would wait until next year or the year after once I know what its going to be. Dunno what the hell she has got me now HNtree has said that

Hope you all have a good nights sleep. I should do as I`m really tired now.

NN all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
