My dd came home from the cm's last week with banana stains on her clothes - obviously hadn't been wearing a bib as it was all over brand new top and on her skirt!! Washed the outfit twice now and tried using stain remover but still no joy. Any magic ideas???

ok gonna post thia

5 years ago my then 1 year old charge sort of spat / was sick banana out all over a gorgouse pink top of mine...

i could not get it out.... in the end mummy boss bought me a new jumper...

and with the old on i tried again to remove stains but failed...

i then bleached the whole jumper (banana still visible) and dyed my jumper dark blue to hide the stains...

the dyeing process required that it was washed at 90c. (now mormally washed at 40c but occasionaly 60c, mostly with bio, sometimes non bio_

this has since been one of my favourite tops over the past 5 years having been worn and washed on an almost weekly basis....

to this day if you look carefully you can see where the banana stain was!

Good luck... i have not yet found a solution!

doesnt come out unless washed off immediately (as i learnt to the detriment of a nice romper suit)

I got a massive blood stain (dd had nose bleed but didn't wake up out of a pillow with vanish. You could try that.

Ok Ladies, so i need to try vanish, dye the items or just put up with stain?! + tell the childminder she must wear an all in one bib if eating banana!!

Banana
There's no need to monkey around with this one. Soak immediately in equal part of glycerine/water, then rub in lemon juice and leave to dry in the sun before washing with Persil.

This is all i could find. Doesn't really help you now though!

banana is indelible
