late night cleaning urges

Our 3rd bedroom is a disaster post Christmas. I'm so tempted to go and gut it. I could probably have it done for 2am. I love this time of night. DH works a lot of nightshifts and it's the only time I get peace from DC.

Do you clean late at night? I can't help myself sometimes Grin Getting excited at the thought of how many bags I can fill. The charity shop won't know what's hit it tomorrow.

I do! No distractions and contestant "mum" callings, just hate the tiredness the next day

Go for it. I just got up to sort some washing. Things always get done more quickly during the night!

😟 no no no.

If you can survive on little sleep, I suppose it makes lots of sense!

not for me, though

Did you do it in the end OP?

I have these ideas in the middle of the night sometimes- recurrent insomnia! Steam cleaned the bathroom at 1am once. Usually regret it the next day though- now if I can't sleep I spend time doing quiet relaxing things like reading, list making/planning, listen to podcast/music, crafting/colouring, nothing too active or with a screen (blue light). After an hour I can usually then try to sleep again. Cleaning would keep me too awake I think.
