Help! Kids have made a mess with ink pad

It's all over the carpet and loads all over the duvet cover ans sheet which I've thrown into the washing machine.

How can I remove the ink from the carpet. It's everywhere in bits all over the place.

I want to scream!

Okay - you've probably done something by now or it's dry, but blot up what you can with an old towel. Put it over the marks and apply pressure, don't attempt to rub or scrub. Then use soda water or just fizzy water as the bubbles lift marks out. Blot again and repeat as necessary. I find standing on a folded up towel is the best way. You don't want to saturate the carpet as it could shrink or go smelly.

Once you have got as much of the ink out then use a carpet stain remover to try to get the remaining marks out - something which doesn't foam is best.

Hi. I used this strange sawdust type cleaning product that DH got from someone. Left it overnight and hoovered it up and it worked!

What's it called and where did you get it from? Great that it worked.

It's like wet sawdust which you rub into the carpet and leave for a few hours or overnight and then hoover up. I don't knowhoe it actually works but its fab.
