Deep cleaning and other cleaning routines?

I amtrying to get organised for the new year and want to try and tackle a room a week to get back on top of my house. One or two rooms need a declutter but most are fairly reasonably clear of stuff.
So what would you say are the key things that need to be done to deep clean a room? And then what needs to be done daily, weekly, monthly etc?
