I'm here, Jelley!

Just home from collecting dd from school, she and ds are plonked in front of the telly for 1/2 hour while I clear away the lunch in the kitchen.

Not doing much FLY-ing this week but have been washing lots and did manage to clean the bathrooms and run the hoover round downstairs this morning.

See you soon x

Cranberry sorry, no excuse wasn't sure how to do it. Please can you forgive me? Tried to search how to do, but this bloody new set up is hearting my eyes

shouldbedeckingthehalls · 15/12/2006 15:01

So, kids just want to watch a dvd - and why shouldn't they? It keeps them happy and quiet-ish and I can busy myself elsewhere....

Have ironing I could start but it means setting up the board and so on...
Also could hoover upstairs but that means lugging the hoover up the stairs...
could finally clean utility room but quite frankly can't be bothered!
Could sort out mine and dh's wardrobe and try to put all the clothes in more neatly...will probably try that, with radio on in bedroom....

Where is everyone today?
Im shattered! Went on the train to town for xmas presents.Didn't know timetable had changed so we were about 30 mins early for the train! hen when we got to town i asked times back and it was an hour later than normal which meant i would be leaving own 20mins after DD's were due at their Dads! Ooops!
Nevermind. They got there in the end. I will know next time not to go in on a friday morning when DD's have contact, incase it goes wrong again! LOL!

Going to take a while to get used to the new MN set up!

No FLYing done yet. Will do some when DC are in bed.
And have a few presents hidden under my duvet to wrap.

QuootiepiesChristmasName · 15/12/2006 19:40

wow, have many people are left FLYing?

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 15/12/2006 19:56

Hi Q.
There were more around yesterday. Don't know what has happened today!

EllieHsMum · 15/12/2006 20:17

Hi everyone.
Not much done today. Dd is clingy & moaning a lot today. For the past hour & 15 mins I've been trying to get her to sleep. With lights off upstairs. She had decided despite being shattered that she will fight it. She keeps flinging herself back like Nicky in this summers brother in a complete strop. So I've put her in her pushchair with the hood up & hoping she goes to sleep. I keep peeking at her & she just grins
It's been a long day, was going to take her for long walk, decided against it as so windy I was concerned would take her breath.
DH on xmas night out.
Hope all is well with you all. Tort did you win one of the competitions?

Help MN had a face lift

Hello all, not many today, I tried to log in earlier but I could not get the page to load

I have not done much today, DD has been very clingy. We were sat watching TV/DVDs most of the day

I have done 2 loads of washing to night though. Whites and a colour load. DSs school clothes mostly.

Tort, I was late getting to school today to pick up Dss. I don't know why but I did not leave until 3pm to get them. 20 minutes to walk 30 minute walk on the best days. I was only 15 minutes late so it was not to bad. They were eating biscuits anyway, so they will probably want me to be late more often now. lol

satinshoes · 15/12/2006 20:49

Hi everyone,

I'm still around Breastfeeding taking up lots of time. DD had her first Christmas party at preschool today and obsolutely loved it. She has been great and compared to DD2 now seems sooo grown up.

D/W and W/M been on all day but that has been only flying.

Hope you're all ok.

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 15/12/2006 21:19

Hi satinshoes glad new DD she happy. When I first had DD it felt like she was feeding all the time.

Glad DD1 enjoyed her first Christmas party. DS1 seem to be so grown up when DS2 was born, the DS2 was more grown up when DD was born. Wish they could stay and 2.5 years. they can do bits their self but still need our help too. Once they get to 3/4 years old we don't have to help so much and they seem to be so grown up then. but they still want to be carried just that they get so heavy by then.

Going to bed soon as still really tired so see you all tomorrow at some point.

NN all xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Front room looking a little tidyer and i hoovered!
Presents bought today have been wrapped. Still have a load in the loft to do!

Bath is ready for me to jump into in a minute. My feet are rather pongy! lol!

CranberryJelley · 15/12/2006 22:45

Hello again. No flying here today. This mornings washing is still wet in a basket

satinshoesI hope things are going well for you. It does seem like you are feeding all the time initially, but before you realise, that stage will have gone. It seems to happen quicker when you have other children.

Hello all.
I hope it continues to go well for you, satin. I remember coming home from hospital with dd (aged 1 day) and thinking that ds had grown up overnight and he was only 15 mths old!
Today I:-
*got up
*cleaned shower and showered and dressed
*placed an order from Boden which had better be my Christmas present from dh as it was rather a lot!
*had breakfast
*walked the dog and fell over in the mud
*showered again
*took the car to the garage
*went to town for a work lunch do
*did shopping
*came home, made tea
*went round with carpet cleaner to take away some marks that had been bugging me for ages
*wrapped some pressies

That's all from me, I'm off to bed.

CranberryJelley · 15/12/2006 23:01

Well done Ivor. lol at fell over in mud...

I remember that feeling when dd1 came to visit me in hsp after I had dd2. Up until that point I still thought of dd1 as a baby(15 m)and instantly she was so huge and grown up!

IvorthePolarExpress · 15/12/2006 23:13

Jelley at your 15 mth old being huge and grown up. I wondered (gas and air is a terrible thing, lingers in my body for ages, I'm sure!) if ds had started shaving, there was such a change.
