How long does it take you to clean a bathroom?

Just that really. How long does it take you to clean the loo, the sink, the receptacles for soap and toothbrushes, the bath and/or the shower tray, glass doors, tiles, shelves, picture frames, window sills, mirrors, windows and floors?

I think I move at a slowish speed and want everything to be so perfect I get bogged (ha, see that awful (not on purpose) pun) down!

I just want to become a more streamlined efficient bathroom cleaner because there are so many other nicer things I could be doing! Anyone with a cleaner please don't reply

I'd say 30 mins to do a proper job, 15 if I'm in a rush?

15-20 minutes for a thorough clean. My bathroom is the size of a postage stamp, which has its perks!

I would agree and say 15-20mins maximum. I also have a small bathroom though.

15 minutes weekly; longer every so often for a deeper clean. How long does it take you, OP?

Takes me about an hour if I'm doing a proper get-in-all-the-crevices clean. I can be quite slow though. I try and do the loo/sink/bath as and when they need it so I'm not doing it all at once, doesn't take as long then.

Ah now VegetablEsoup, we sound similar. Is your bathroom big? If not do you start to drift / daydream as you scrub the sink (like I do)?

Probably around 45 mins LeaLeander. Thing is I want to get faster as I put youngest DS in baby prison playpen while I do it and I feel like a meanie (although depending on his mood he doesn't always mind).

My late DM's favourite Irish phrase she used to say to me was "Brostaigh ort" (Hurry yourself), so I think I've always been slow, over analytical and bogged down

blimey you do all the tiles from floor to ceiling in your weekly clean op you are a superwoman I thought I was.

I am seriously ocd and I despise cleaning the bathrooms. I do the sink, soap and toothbrush holders, toilet, mop floors at the same time, window sills vanity unity mirrors. bath is done straight after its used . 2 bathrooms are done every other day just a quick clean 10-15 mins tops.

The floor of the shower unit is done daily but the entire shower unit maybe fortnightly. I didn't think I was lazy until I read your post op I'm flat out cant do no more

I have 4 bathrooms all of them with showers and baths except 1 which is a wc only. life was easy with 2.

over 1 hour if I rush but 2 hours if I'm exhausted (which I always am)

About 30 minutes to do my version of a deep clean (not very). I have to do a deep clean every time because I only do it every couple of months weeks or so. Yes it's disgusting, although I do wipe occasional pee areas and bits and bobs more often.

Only one bathroom though and I'm quite happy with that.

well, I vaccuum first.
then scrup the bathtub and the showerhead. scrub all tiles top to bottom. clean windowledge. clean the top of haidryer (fixed to the wall thing) and cabinets. toilet. sink. wash shower curtain (ok that happens whilst I clean).

45 minutes sounds a long time. What order do you clean it in?

Takes me about 20 minutes. First i put bleach down the loo and leave it. Then i chuck towels in linen basket. Clear toiletries from around bath and basin. Spray down the basin, bath, and outside of loo with bathroom cleaner and leave it. I then clean the mirror and window. Then rinse down the bath, then the basin. Put all the toiletries back around bath and basin. Then i clean the loo from outside using loo roll for outside and then scrub inside the loo and flush. Then i put new towels out. Then mop the floor. And done! Do that once a week. Inbetween i will wipe the basin and loo daily, and leave bleach down the loo every other day. I'm quite weird as i quite enjoy cleaning the bathroom

I always do it after I have a bath. First I put toilet cleaner down before my bath. Then once I'm out I remove all toiletries while the bath is emptying, spray sink, spray bath go get dressed etc. Come back and wipe everything down. Quick clean would be 10 mins then maybe another 5mins if I'm doing the floor.

penguinsarecool the order I generally go in is as follows:

• Vacuum floor and walls
• Spray tiles and glass in shower stall, scrub it in and leave it to work.
• Clean walls around loo, skirting board all around and back of door and all around door frame.
• Spray cleaner into toilet and clean outside of loo from top down to floor, clean seat and lid, scrub inside with brush (ducks for cover), flush and squirt bleach into the loo and let brush sit in it to clean it.
• Rinse off glass and tiles in shower and scrub tray.
• Polish glass on the ouside of shower cubicle and metal trims (including each rung on heated towel rail)
• Polish glass on bathroom cabinet
• Clean inside of window and framed pictures
• Clean ornaments and polish windowsill
• Clean sink
• Clean kids' step stool
• Clean toilet brush holder
• Mop floor

• Upstairs would include cleaning the bath and the toothbrush holder (yuk)

And have a cup of coffee

About 15 mins.

All shampoo/ deodorant etc is in a cupboard so doesn't get dusty or need moving to clean side.

Shower and bath get cleaned after every use so aren't that dirty

About 45 minutes but much of that is eg removing things, putting them back, putting soda down the relevant plug holes, washing it through again etc etc. The actual cleaning doesn't take long at all.

If I'm super quick desperate measures clean it's maybe 15-20 Mins, but a proper clean more like an hour.

Timed myself yesterday and it took 45 mins but I didn't do everything from the list above ^^ so I reckon closer to an hour. Must get quicker!

Took me an hour yesterday to do the lot, ceiling to floor tiles, toilet, sink, bath, cleaned windows (2) and bath and overhead shower and screen, bleached the bath and tiles around the shower too. It was its Xmas clean . generally 20 mins once a week.

I was lost at mention of picture frames and/or ornaments in a bathroom.

Martin looking at your order I wouod Hoover and then mop last fwiw as I find as I clean it lodges dust etc onto the floor.
