I wash towels and tea towels on their own at 60
Bedding on its own at 60
I've been doing clothes underwear and socks at 40
Should I be washing the underwear and socks separately and a higher temp ?

Ours just go in with similar coloured items at 40 degrees

I wash underwear and socks with towels at 60.

No matter how much you wipe, there is always going to be some faecel matter on underwear, so to me washing at 40 (which is only 3 degrees over body temp) is not enough.

However, whatever works for you.

I would also NEVER wash them with tea towels and kitchen cloths.

But the enzymes in the washing powder will eat the residue and the rest will be washed away.

I did a load on their own but that's a good idea to put them in with towels not got any dark towels but probably got enough dark to ,ale a load
