It's like a hoarders paradise up there. We appear to have kept the packing material for every single domestic appliance (large or small) that we have ever owned.

There are many bags of 'essential' cables (I'm looking at you DH), dead laptops, mildewy pillows...

On a brighter note I have just found my disco glitter ball and a kit for a dolls house I bought back in 2003

Anyone else decluttering at the moment?

Yes i am. I'm getting rid of one large thing or bag full a day since the start of December and want to carry on in to 2016. Yesterday and today's items were two sofas!

I've persuaded a friend to help me with a tip run later this week. Just chucked a shoebox full of mix tapes into the bin. I feel lighter!

Tip run done! There's still more to clear but it's a bit easier to see what's up there now.

I think ordering a skip is often a good incentive to press on.

You are a brave person! I can't face my loft until after Christmas!! But it does REALLY need doing!
