How easy is it with a hired steam cleaner, from HSS, say?
Or should we lash out on the professionals (£195 plus VAT)?

leave it to the professionals & all go out for the day. it could well save your relationship.... .

Ok - like that, is it?

Is it hard wotk and unpleasant?

Would it be unfair to ask our cleaner to do it - for extra money etc?

The ads always show someone lightly running a vacuum-cleaner type thing over the carpet - a bit idealistic?

anything like that leads to cursing & stropping in our house. and that's just me, having to look after the children whilst dp does the work.... depends how bad your carpets are though. ours are always in a dreadful state. it's not as bad as floor sanding.

Professionals now booked!
Thanks!

I'd probably have lost my calm by the time I had wrestled the damn steam cleaner into the car at HSS....
