my carpet smells of sick

Dd1 vomited spectacularly all over the carpet last night. I've washed it with some biological washing powder which seems to have helped a bit but the whole room still stinks!

Can anyone recommend anything please? TIA.

Sprinkle it liberally with bicarbonate of soda leave for a few hours then Hoover. That should help.

try and dry the carpet with old towels then sprinkle lots of bicarbonate of soda on leave overnight or all day whichever is easiest then Hoover up you may need to repeat this but it's the only thing I have found that works on carpet smells.
