Cordless Dyson question

I currently have a cordless Dyson that looks a bit like this with a short nozzle

I'd ideally like one like this with the long nozzle

Can I just buy a longer nozzle to fit onto mine, or is there a fundamental difference between them?

I'm not sure. I think Dyson say you can't, but my mum has one of each and uses whichever motor unit is charged at the time, so I think you probably can.

Yes you can, as long as you don't get the motorised long nozzle.
