I have just - yet again - retrieved disastrously burnt food from my ancient Aga. Wasted food, nasty cleaning job :(
I also frequently set the battery charger for - typically 16 hours - and then forget to switch it off at the due time.
I often (though not invariably) set a kitchen timer and put a little note to myself explaining what the pinger relates to, but there are several defects in this procedure (apart from my imperfect implementation of it at all):
You really need several timers on the go. I have two but that's not enough.
In a big house it's easy to be out of earshot at the crucial time. (I do sometimes carry the timer with me, but also carrying round an explanation of what it's all about makes things more fiddly.)
I have a feeling that some people use a smart phone in some way for this job. I haven't got one of those and think this isn't a good enough reason to get one! I do have an iPad, but that's a big thing to carry around the house wherever I go!
Does a gadget exist that would help me?
