cleaning outside of cooker

After a few minor 'incidents' where the grill was left on accidently with the door closed, the front of my cooker (where the knobs are) is really black/burned. Is there anything I can do to clean it? Various sprays, magic erasers haven't worked, and it looks awful. Can't afford a new cooker, but am totally fed up of looking at existing one in such a state. Is there a magic way that I haven't found yet?

I use boiling water and white vinegar with a wire cleaning pad and a micro fibre cloth to rinse.

What colour is your cooker? It works on my sort of beige hob.

Ive been browsing and am trying a baking soda paste for now if that doesn't work I will try your suggestion thanks

Do they come off? If so I would put them in the dishwasher, with some bleach on a hot wash x
