Carpet still smells of sick - yuk!

Can anyone help please? DS has had a bug this week and has thrown up big time on two occasions - once in the hall and another time at the top of the stairs (and yes, he was facing downstairs at the time - I'll leave the mess up to your imagination!!!).

Anyway, we've cleaned it, disinfected it, and vaxed it thoroughly in both areas - but you can still smell that horrible sicky smell.

Has anyone got any ideas how to get rid of it??

Thanks in advance.

Zoflora did the trick for me.

Bicarb of soda is a miracle!

Hi

Thanks for the tips - but now here's the part where I sound really stupid:

Firstly, what's Zoflora?

Secondly, what do I do with the Bicarb of Soda? Do I mix it with water?

Also, how are both of the above applied? We have to do quite a large area (ie, landing, stairs and hall!) so was hoping to maybe put something in the Vax, but if hand scrubbing is needed, so be it.

Thanks again in advance for your help everyone.

Just put the bicarb powder on and leave it, then hoover it up later.

Zoflora................I prefer the smell of sick myself.

Thanks everyone - will give Bicarbonate of soda a try.

Thanks again and fingers crossed it works.
