has for a long time had a large sticker on the front of it explaining about the electricity or something, one of those things that you find stuck on these appliances when you buy them and should take off straight away. Anyway, she didn't, and it's been stuck fast and she now wants to get it off but it's not peeling off cleanly, is leaving lots of 'sticker residue' behind. Anyone know what will bring it off successfully? She used WD40 to get t-shirt transfer off an iron successfully, think it might work with the fridge sticker?

may as well try it! though wd40 has failed to get the stickyness out of my plant pot

Lighterfluid will do the trick

MissMistletoe · 08/12/2006 18:04

Lighter fluid! That's interesting! Will tell her to give it a try.

Or nail varnish remover.

MissMistletoe · 08/12/2006 18:19

I thought about NVR, but wondered would it take the paint off too?

I think that, because of the coating on the fridge, it should be ok. You could always try it on a bit that is not on display first just to be sure.

You can buy "sticky stuff" remover from Lakeland - it's really useful to have it, I've used on loads of things.

or lakeland sticky stuff remover works wonders too!

turkEgyptlets · 10/12/2006 11:45

no! spray normal furniture polish on it so its foam covers the sticker. leave for half hour then wipe. gone!
