Stinky fridge, what is it?

My fridge stinks of mould. I have taken everything out, thrown everything away that is even looking at me funny, washed all the shelves / salad drawer thoroughly and also the inside of the fridge too

I also laid a small dish of coffee grounds in it and some sliced lemons as I heard those helped but it still stinks!

I feel it may be coming from the little hole in the back / bottom of the fridge but I don't know exactly what that is

Can anyone help?!

Check the seals on the door- mould sometimes gets in those! I think the hole is to drain excess water? See if you can have a bit of a poke in there - use a straw as there might be a plug of mould. Bicarbonate of soda in a little dish is an excellent deodoriser for the fridge

Get a cotton bud and see if that loosens the blockage, at the bottom of the drain at the back. It can easily block if you've had things touch the back of the fridge.
