The smell of smoke

Had to use the wood burner last night as boiler broken. However, the lounge still stinks of wood smoke and its making my eyes sore. Had the French doors and windows open but any suggestions as to how we can get rid of it? Thanks

when was the chimney last swept? Does it draw?

Only time and ventilation will help.

Also, was it new 'green' wood, or resin-y? That makes it a bit more smokey and you might need to rotate the woodpile.
I actually rather love the smell of woodsmoke in the house, but open img windows and doors for through draft and liberal Febreze should sort it
