Stinky fridge-could it be the plumbing?

My stinky fridge is getting me down. There is a leak in the roof of our 1922 semi,a leak in the front room and a leak under the bath.Apparently the tiles on the roof need replacing and a pipe to the boiler is causing the other leaks.
On top of having buckets all over the house I just cant rid the fridge of a strange smell like rotting vegetables. Its scrubbed mega clean and Ive put one of those odour eggs in,but still no luck. Its permeating the house and although I have those those fantastic Glade Christmas candles burning all over the house the smell is still there.Any tips would be so appreciated.

have you checked the little drainage hole at the back of the fridge. It may have something stuck in it.But then again it wouldn't be working and you'd notice water pooling.

perhaps it is under or behind the fridge even?

my husband thinks it is the drip pan,he only went on the internet to find out when he realised I was getting more and more upset - when he fixes it is another matter, should be me I know but he has more time and practical skills!
