Cleaning tips

I have the day off work tomorrow and I want to get a good lot of cleaning done (as well as some nice things), do you have any tips on how to be super speedy and make things sparkle?! Which bits are important to clean to really make it look good?

I really want to get the shower looking good, I saw on here about using bleach and kitchen roll to get rid of the black stuff, when is this okay/not okay to do? I don't want to ruin anything! Also grout is looking a bit grey and my hair dye may have been flicked around to leave red spots everywhere.. Any advice?

You could go into each room tonight and just look around... what immediately jumps out? It might be a pile of dvds in front of the tv stand, or coffee mug rings of the edge of the coffee table. Perhaps if you give a quick glance into the rooms in turn, you will recognise what makes it look 'not sparkly', addressing just those things would make a huge difference.

I say this as you asked for quick ways to go about it and what was necessary. As for the bathroom, try Viakal. Get it in the spray bottle, liberally squirt over the entire bathroom (perhaps not the floor..) then leave for a short while and wipe down with a warm damp cloth.

Have fun doing your housework Grin I hope that you get through it in time to do some nice things on your day off.
