Anyone ever had a duvet recovered?

Just contemplating getting out our winter down duvet. It must be 20 years old by now and I'm thinking that must be in the replacement zone by now!
I've come across some companies that you can send duvets and pillows to, they clean and refresh the down and recover the like new. This seems like an eco-friendly option.
Has anyone ever tried it, was it value for money and have you any recommendations?

Thanks!

I can't see it being very cost effective. It's sometimes cheaper to buy a new one than pay to have it cleaned at the launderette. If it's good nick and has life in it, why not see if you can donate it to charity?

A reply, thanks!

The companies do claim it's around a third cheaper than a new duvet - but I guess that depends on how much they are flogging a new one for!

Not sure any charity would be interested in a flagging 20 year old duvet (maybe a pet charity might though? )
