smelly washing machine

my washing machine really smells, the clothes come out clean and fresh smelling. Any ideas as to how i can get rid of this horrible smell.

There's been a thread about this before. Try white vinegar, either throw a good cupful into the drum, or into soap drawer, and just run a short wash. It should do the trick. I give my washer the vinegar treatment every so often.

ok will give that a try, thought there probably would have been a thread before but couldnt find anything.
