Morning all.

One day on porch, hallway & dining room! LOL

My hallway is pretty clear which is good as is my dining room so will just do a bit more to do the mission.

Not touching outside as there are so many cobwebs etc - but i will get DH to do that at the weekend

Hope you're all ok.

Good morning,

I have a bonus morning with no kids today so plan to try to make some progress with the house. I really do feel that if I could get on top of things I'd start to feel much better in myself- my mood is always better for feeling able to relax in my own environment.

I'll do a quick clear up of the porch and hallway (neither are too bad anyway) we don't have a dining room so I'm going to set myself 30mins in the dreaded spare room and hope to be able to make a difference.

Going to dig out the timer now

Morning all.

I am feeling as rough as dogs today!!!!

Coldsore hurts, neck aches, and I went to bed with a migrane which hasn't gone yet
I was watching I'm a Celeb and I got the blurry spot in my eye, and the numb hand so I took some Ibuprofen and went to bed to see if I could get to sleep before the headache kicked in!
No Such Luck!!!!!!!

Sorry...moan over!!

I am on a mission to sort the kids clothes out...I was very ruthless yesterday as I did a huge toy cull. Every broken or unused toy was either binned or bagged up for charity.
Today the same goes for clothes!

Mission is going to be a tough one as my hall has dh clutter that he keeps promising to remove!

See you in a bit

Morning all. Its an early 1 for me today. Feeling a little low, well alot if I was really honest.

Satin I have cobwebs all round my frontdoor as well. I have seen 2 big black spiders and I wont clean them away either. I knew I had to ask HNtree to do something for me yesterday. She likes spiders.

shouldbedoinghousework. Hope you have a good child free day. I know what you mean when you say how much better for feeling able to relax in your own environment. I love it when I can sit down in the evening and the lounge is clean and tidy and all the toys are in their tubs.

luda. Poor you. hope you feel much better soon. {{{{{ luda}}}}}} I have got a bad head too. I woke up with it last night and it still has not gone. My nose is dripping but it is bunged at the same time
This mild weather is a great bug breader, though GMTV`s weather this morning did say it was going to get really cold at Christmas week.

Going to clean my back hall. I am going to try and find a home for the bits that dont need to be in there and make some space for the airers to go out there, I wont have to have them in the kitchen and lounge then. It was where the down stairs loo was, but they moved it to the new bathroom they put in. So now its a 4ft wide 8ft long waste of space really.

See you all later this evening.

tortoise hope your DD is feeling ok today.

Hello all!

satinshoes I've just remembered who you are! Hello and thanks for starting the thread.

luda Sorry you're not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon.

Hazelnuts I hope you start feeling better soon, too.

shouldbe You'll come back and tell us how you got on in the spare bedroom, won't you? If you don't, we might have to send out a search party if it's anything like my spare bedroom!

Right. I've started the day well. I stripped all the beds first thing and put the load on. It's now on the line together with a load I did yesterday. Another load is in and another is waiting. I've brought the kids bins down to sort through. It's amazing how many notes from school about things you find in the bin a day or three after the event! I've got showered and dressed and tried on some trousers I bought on e-bay which fit but are a rather snug fitting size 12, so I'm going to be careful not to eat too much this month or I won't be able to wear them! My dsis (the MNer one) is coming up today so I'm trying to get the kitchen sorted. If I can wrap a few pressies then she can take them down for me. See you all much later today.

Thanks Ivor..... you have made a fantastic start to the day!!!!!!

Thanks HN....hope you feel better soon too

I'm going to make some more snowflakes now and eat some choccie!

Our front porch is lovely and tidy- I ended up cutting back a rose shrub which has been driving us mad catching on our coats etc for ages. Gave the whole area a sweep too.
Haven't had to do much in the hall- just put a few shoes away.
I've managaged to do 45mins in the spare room and although it's not finished you can now at least walk round two sides of the bed- a big improvement to how it was. There are lots of bits and pieces to put away in other rooms so I'm going to set myself a time limit to sort through that quickly now before I have lunch and have to get ds from nursery at 1.
I'd also like to strip the beds and get the first load in the machine before 1 if poss.....

Hey all sorry for not 'flying' much lately. Madampeepee Peardrop is 6 months hasn't been the greatest of sleepers especially at night.naps during the day aprroximately 20/30 mins each nap only has 3)We have tried all kinds of routines. Last night was one of the worst nights,(among one of many) she went to bed at 9pm. Woke at 11.15 then this continued every hour/hour & half until 5pm this morning. I told my hubby that I am going back to work as I am rubbish at this job & baby can go into a Nursery maybe this will help? I(we) waited so long for my bundle of joy that the feelings of guilt are over whelming. My hubby is very helpful & when he can comes home in time to help bath baby. He even when I am at my wits end will get up & try & settle baby. I've cried since I got up this morning, even on the phone to my mum.We live away from home so there is no support network. We have very few friends who could even help.Although Mumsnet is always a great venting tool. Hope things improve soon so I can continue flying!

Ellie's Mum. I think we've all been there. Best thing you can do is get a rest of some sort because then you'll get a bit more sense of perspective.

The thing I found with DD was to decide on a 'method' of getting her to sleep and stick to it. No matter how hard. By changing what you do all the time thye get confused.

Are you b/fing? I was and used to wake DD slightly if she had fallen asleep on me to get her used to thinking she had slept on her own.

Tell us what you do at the moment to get her to sleep and we should be able to come up with some ideas.

Dont rush back to work. You're doing a great job, you're just tired.

Evening Not much talking done today , does that mean that everyone has been really busy FLYing?

I done what I wanted to do today, though it made me sneeze more with all the dust flying around. I still feel like poop, my throat is sore and I`m not drinking coffee atm either. It tastes like........ I have had 3 cups of hot chocolate since my last post, and a few glasses of water.

EllieHsMum. Don't feel that you are rubbish at looking after DD. Sounds like you are doing a great job of looking after her. You are just tired! Ask your DH if he would look after DD while you got some sleep. Have a nap when DD has a nap. Sleep when you get the chance too. Once you feel less tired, your DD will be a lot better too. She is more than likely picking up that you are tired and stressed which is then stopping her from feeling great. She could be waking up, just so she knows you are there. All you need is a few good hours sleep. We have all been there and we have come out the other side. you WILL too. You have done really well over the last 6 months. My DD was hard work too (along with other hard bits to life too) She was not a great sleeper, up every hour for feeds. BUT now she is just so cute and she now makes me laugh, we have fun, she helps me and everything is great. I would not want to be at work while someone else is having all this fun and great times with her. Your DD will soon be talking, you will hear "mum/mummy, daddy. You will be getting cuddles from her. She will be asking you for help/play/cuddles etc. when that time comes you will forget all this hard work you are doing now. I wanted to have some time with out her b/c I was so tired BUT now I am dreading it when she has to go to school. I already miss DSs when they are at school.

Rant/unload/scream/take time out here. We all know what you are going through.

{{{{{{ EllieHsMum }}}}}}} just try and sleep when you can and the rest will fall into place.
