Bloody mice

Pretty certain I saw a mouse jump out of the laundry basket last night :( Not seen droppings anywhere or mousy smells thankfully.

Haven't had any problems for about 3 years or so - I'm meticulous about not leaving food out and so on but now this... last time pest control guy came and used poison, expanding foam, steel wool, etc and definitely helped. Didn't find any corpses so a plus.

I'm going to call him again, but I just want to know if there's any way to deal with them so I don't have and dead ones to deal with? No DH or other adult able to deal [wail], I just can't! I know I'm a wuss but I'm hoping they'll crawl away and die out of sight! Any ideas?

they often live out of sight, under floors.

I find it useful to keep some small mouse baits at the back of food cupboards, under the sink, behind the cooker and fridge, and in the kickspace behind the plinth - all places that are out of sight of cats and small children. Also in corners of shed and garage. I use the very small plastic flower-pot saucers in bright red so they are easy to see.

That way any adventurous mouse is likely to take the poison before it has time to set up home.

When you are cleaning you will notice if any of the bait has gone, if it has you put down more.

Haven't seen any bait taken here for at least a year.

I like the electronic beepers that you plug into electric sockets. We haven't had any problems since we started using them about 10 years ago.

Whatever you decide, please dont use glue traps. Horrible way to die.
