Miele tumble dryer 'ironing setting'

We've just bought a Miele as our old tumble dryer has given up the ghost. It claims to have a machine iron setting? What is this magic that Miele speak of and more importantly does it work? I'm primarily thinking of it for bedding purposes as at this time of year nothing dries outside and the tumble dryer creases it like crazy .....

Not sure as I don't have a Miele dryer but my John Lewis dryer has an 'iron dry' setting - where things come out just damp enough to iron dry. Coukd it mean that?

I have a Hotpoint dryer and it works like the pp machine ,just leaves the washing slightly under dried and ready for ironing . I've never used it though so I'm not sure how damp it leaves it .

it has a sensor that can detect (about) how much moisture is still steaming off the clothes.

(it is technically amazingly simple and most brands can do it)

I find though that you need to have your load of light synthetics dried separately from your thick cottons or they will not both be right at the same time.

Thanks piglet - that helps.
