Any hope to return my top to sparking white?

I have a lovely (and expensive) white top from Talbots. It has a scoop neck and 3/4 length sleeves, and is a very useful and versatile piece of clothing. I wear it with both casual and formal stuff.

It's 94% cotton and 6% spandex.

The washing instructions say wash in a cold wash and only to use non-chlorine bleach.

Someone has put this article in the wash - no doubt on a hot wash - with something that has turned it a very pale beige colour. It's an almost identifiable colour, but it's certainly not white!

I've tried soaking it in Biotex, then washing it again, but to no avail.

Is there anything I can do, or has it had it?

you could try soaking it in lemon juice....I have never done this but I have heard it is good.
(I'm guessing a lemon juice mix with water other wise you'd need a lot of lemons!!!!!!)

lemon juice really need sunshine to work iirc, and not much hope of that now!

have you tried ecover laundry bleach? it's very good. or for a more harsh chemical answer you could try vanish oxi (or the cheap aldi rip off which is as good)

Try the Glo-White stuff? Supposed to be good.

Sorry, forgot to say that I put Glo-White in the wash, and it helped a bit, but still looks ruined to me!

I think I might have some Vanish stuff so I'll give that a go
