Marcher Window Vac - why should I buy one

ok I'm thinking of buying a Karcher Window Vac but is it as good as all the rave reviews I read on Amazon?

It's costly, it has a poor battery life, it's another gadget to find space for. So why buy one?

Could you do without your Kartcher, if it suddenly died would you really have to replace it or would you just revert to window cleaner and a good squeegee?

Have you one and thinking to yourself why on earth did I buy this?

So why buy one

I live in a Victorian flat with single glazed sash windows - use the karcher very morning to suck up the condensation! Also good for drying the shower screen. I don't actually clean the window much with it though.

I have one, I use it for all glass, mirrors and tiles, I love it. I think it really makes a difference. When it's fully charged it can do all my windows inside and out and it still has charge left. Shop around though !

The basic window-vac is excellent, particularly when clearing condensation with aching joints in the mornings, but I made the mistake of paying almost twice the price for the version which also washes windows using special liquid and a smaller head. There are three of us cleaning windows here but none of us have chosen to use this, in fact, I've forgotten where the extra bits are stored.

If my house was burning down there would be two things I'd save, my son and my window vac

I love mine

I hate mine - I bought it after all the rave reviews and honestly it is a piece of shite. used it once and it just left my windows all streaky with big lines down them - it's sat in the box for a year, total waste of money.

kah22 · 19/09/2015 11:14

Good point you made EmNetta: if I'm understanding you correctly buy the basic one?

I'm glad to have heard from myotherusernameisbetterr. 'A piece of shite,' now that is a big recommendation!!! Tell me you only used it once do you think that was a fair judgement?

If I do eventually decide to buy one I will wait until I can pick it up at a sale or on one of the Outlet shops you find on eBay

Keep replies coming I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking about these products

I only used it once and it is now in the box as that was a few hours of my life I'll never get back :)

I love my Karcher, my windows are sparkling clean. I use soapy washing up liquid with a microfibre cloth then just Karcher off.
