What's the best product to buy or are homemade remedies better i.e toothpaste, vinegar, bleach etc. Would like to avoid regrouting but prepared to do what's ever needed to make it look fresh and white again.

You could always buy a grout pen, I think they come in various colours including white and are very easy to use

Thick bleach will do the job. Trickle it down the grout lines. Leave for half an hour, then rinse off. Obviously, be careful with the bleach. Ideally, wear some eye protection and definitely wear rubber gloves.

Use an old toothbrush dipped in bleach for any stubborn stains.

Bleach is best. Pour it on and leave for 30 mins. It will save the hassle of regrouting.

Awesome stuff, just vent room, spray on and leave for a bit.

A paste of bleach and bicarb if you've got some really stubborn bits.
