Dd weed on her school shoes today. Any ideas how to wash them? They are leather Clarkes-type shoes with a tiny diamante trim and velcro fastenings. TIA!

You need Gingerbear and her classic Leather Knickers thread!

Not really Knickers - actually said Kickers but most of Mn misread it. Her DD had weed in them somehow. Not sure what the advice was or what was suggested. But if you can find her she may be able to help).

Don't wash them - wipe with damp soft cloth ! Then polish as normal when dry !

have discovered that wee does not adversely affect leather shoes. It is pretty dilute anyway and ime doesn't smell !

I wash DS's trainers in the washing machine but not sure if school shoes would be the same

DS's leather shoes have survived the washing machine (after big poo accident). He had almost grown out of them - I don't know if I would risk new shoes.

I agree that wee is probably OK to clean off with a baby wipe/well squeezed cloth and water.

Thank you!

My dd has weed on hers a few times. I just dry them out and polish as normal - doesn't seem to have affected them
