Draughty front door (bottom) - where to get a draught excluder?

My mum has a long sausage dog style one that she made herself! We def need one as you can see a gap between the door and our floor when it's dark inside and light outside.

Any recs for a decent draught excluder? Thanks

if the gap's that big, I'd suggest fixing a wooden batten to the threshold or (better) to the bottom of the door.

Unless you are very strong, it is quite hard to lift a door off to get at the bottom, and harder still to rehang it. Lift-off hinges make it much easier.

A brush-pile or furry velvet excluder is good for the bottom of a door. If it is visible you can get one with a wooden part that you can paint or stain to match the door. Otherwise, a thin stick-on one will do, applied to new or very clean paintwork. The brush or fur ones allow the door to open without sticking..

Most shops selling curtains and blinds will have draft excluders, but I still have the first one which I made by rolling up a small blanket made from crocheted granny squares. I also use door curtains during the winter, which make a big difference.
