£40 goose down size duvet

Fishboneschokus · 08/09/2015 13:20

I've read another thread about wool duvets.
But pp in LR say duck or goose.
Up to £1000 in JL.

I do need to buy a duvet but feel as if I have strayed into a world that I do not understand.

£40 duvet is warm tog, king size

Find out where the goose down is sourced from. Horrible cruel practice of plucking live geese in some countries

Thank you. I've been given some money to spend on myself so I'm spending it on bedclothes.

Wool, synthetic or natural?

Ty for the link on sourcing; I am a novice, clearly.

Thanks

I get all my bedding from Soak & Sleep. Excellent quality, service and prices (I have silk-filled duvet)

I've noticed quite a few positive reviews on here for wool duvets from Baavet too.

Silk-filled is lovely. Cool in summer, warm in winter. Excellent for women of a certain age iyswim

But they are quite flat and sort of drape over you. No good for those who like big puffy cloud-like duvets.

S&S silk duvets are pretty reasonable price. That's what I have.

Been using them for years, although am thinking I'd like to try a Baavet wool one for winter.

We could swap Grin
