STINKY MICROWAVE: anyone else experienced this?

Our microwave is hurling out the stench of rotten garbage every time we use it (last couple of days or so), which is stinking out the whole house.

Have cleaned it thoroughly, and can't remember cooking anything smelly in it recently.

What to do? Is there something stuck in a vent or something? Do I have to call in an engineer??

how about 'cooking' half a lemon in it?

Kim and Aggie swear by it!

is it a dead hamster?

WigWamBam · 28/11/2006 14:57

Put the half a lemon into a bowl of water before you zap it though otherwise it will explode!

It does work though.

oh yeah forgot that bit

you'd have no kitchen left but at least the microwave wouldn't smell.

franch · 28/11/2006 15:18

I did wonder if it was a zapped mouse Lucycat ...

Will go get a lemon, thanks

do you often cook mice?

they're much better in the slow cooker.

tenderises 'em you see, mind you there's not much meat on them so you'll have to bulk it out with plenty of veg

franch · 28/11/2006 15:39

Oh, I'm sure I can round up a batch of them in the cellar ...

would you like to borrow our cat......?

she might 'pre-love' them a little though.

Lucycat · 28/11/2006 19:24

franch · 28/11/2006 19:32

Um, didn't manage to get out to get a lemon ........ It'll have to stay stinky till tomorrow
