'Cosy' essential oils?

We have one of those oil vaporiser thingies (creates a cold steam of water and oil) and I'd love some ideas of which oils to use to make the house smell all warm, welcoming and cosy.

At the moment I only have lavender, peppermint, lemon and rosemary. I love all those smells but they don't feel cosy iyswim.

I'm thinking maybe cinnamon or similar, what would that work well with? Does anyone have any tried and tested blends?

I like rose and geranuim (pre blended) or just rose on its own too. I have a nice cinnamon which I use in the winter just on its own.

Is cinnamon not too strong on its own? Would orange work with it?

Ylang ylang is really nice. I find it very comforting.
Mandarin too, might blend well with cinnamon.

Sound lovely- just found this when googling cinnamon oil. Plenty for me to try there (and much cheaper than a fancy candle).

You need this:www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0553403974/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_XKG6vbCM421C6 The Fragrant a Pharmacy by Valerie Worwood.

Love Rosemary at home. And Tea Tree. And nothing's better than Eucalyptus a little later in the year when everyone else has a cold.

Could someone post a link to the vaporiser please?

Several here from Neal's Yard.

I must admit I would never associate smells with cosiness, more with seasons. So cinnamon would probably be associated with Christmas, and floral smells with spring and summer.

I tend to use smells I like all year rather than seasonal ones as I cannot bear the smell of cinnamon or other spices in candles, burners or pot pourri.

I like fresh scents when it's warmer but I guess the spicy scents make me think of Christmas.

Just ordered orange, nutmeg and cinnamon so getting ready for Christmas early Grin.

I have this diffuser but in light brown wood. Seems very good.
