Really out of character for the cat but he was locked inside accidently whiles I was out for the day Hmm

I've washed the area with vaz carpet washer about 5 times, but if I sniff upclose I swear the smell is still there.

Any tips would be much appreciated, thankyou!!

Can you get zoflora? Any fragrance, my Siamese got out a few years ago when she was a house cat and had bloody kittens a few weeks later. The kittens were a nightmare and I could afford to replace the carpet, I used the zoflora and water ian spray bottle and after a few treatments it was fine

Hi yes that Is what I put in the carpet washer :)

Ok what about putting it on straight? No dilution?

HawkEyeTheNoo · 24/08/2015 12:23

I also use bicarbonate of soda for absolutely everything including my teeth!! Try some of that in the pile too

Thankyou once the carpet has dried out il sprinkle some of that see if it helps. I can't smell any cat pee now but it's a high traffic area that sometimes has et shoes stomping through so I really need to make sure the smell doesn't resurface!

Spray vinegar on an then sprinkle bicarb on and scrub in then wipe with towel.

You need Simple Soluyion, it's brilliant. I have a cat who peed endlessly on the sofa and Simple Solution cleaned even that perfectly.

wowfudge · 24/08/2015 14:47

I agree with Booboo - you need to neutralise the smell not cover it in perfume. Believe me, I have far more experience than I ever wanted of cleaning up after pets. Simple Solution or lots of bicarb are best.
