Stinky trainers

Any suggestions on how to stop DS's trainers smelling quite so much? He will wear them with bare feet by hook or by crook. They are pretty much his only shoes so washing them will leave him shoeless while they dry.

I read somewhere that bicarbonate of soda helped. Does anyone know more about how this is done?

Just sprinkle loads of bicarb into the shoes, leave it as long as possible, then hoover it out.

Good luck!

I read on hear that putting them in a bag in the freezer works.
Tried it with my sons football boots that had got wet and had that horrible damp smell and it worked Grin
Do it overnight if he can't be parted from them during the day.

if there Nike trainers they smell like cats pee, they are very difficult to get the smell out of

I got some of these from Sports Direct.

Wasn't convinced they would work, and they don't completely get rid of the smell, but it means my DS's trainers don't make my eyes water any more.
