Cleaning oilcloth tablecloth...

Would like to give my large tablecloth a soak and was planning on dumping it in a bath of hot soapy water but although it is oilcloth, it is rather thin and I'm worried that it will crease up or lose its shape.
Any ideas?

Watching, mine is quite thick but needs a really good clean.

I have done mine before on a very quick wash cycle with a low temp In the washing machine and then hung on the line to dry and they have been fine. Just don't put it back on the table until completely dry unless you want weird bumps all over your nice new table (voice of experience)

Thank you cupcake - I didn't think to put in washing machine so am glad to have some of the work cut out! Is hanging on line now so fingers crossed it keeps its shape!Smile

I washed mine in the machine last week, all fine and looks great again. Why didn't I do it before!
