Misused mine by cleaning a bit with it so now water won't cut it. Any tips?

I haven't done it, but my guess would be cold wash with minimal soap powder and then an extra rinse to make sure all suds are gone.

Get a new one? I've only ever used water or soapy water for rinsing.

Pure white hand soap (not powder), and water no warmer than your hand.

Thank you PigletJohn. I have scoured the Internet for that answer but no one seemed totally sure. Will give it a try and report back.

Meant to come back before but been on holiday. Washing bar soap and warm water worked great to clean it out. It didn't get every mark off but it smells clean and doesn't leave smears, i.e. Continues to do its job! Thanks PigletJohn.
