Stackable washer dryer recommendations

Hello...washer is on the blink and our dryer has seen better days. Would like to stack dryer on washing machine to save space....I know we could just buy separate machines / brands and use a shelf but would be nice to have them coordinating. Does anyone have any recommendations on sets which they are really happy with?

I never got round to using it, but I bought a Bosch stacking kit which they say fits all their washers and all their driers.

Being suspicious, I made a point of giving their cust service desk my model numbers to check, as the drier is quite new and the washer quite old.

I think in Currys I saw a universal stacking kit but I feel happier with manufacturer's own.

You can buy universal kits from the likes of espares. Ours are stacked without one - probably far from ideal, but they've been like that for over five years.

we stuck our tumbledryer on the work surface above the washimg machine in our futility room as a temporary measure. Two years later Grin it's still there, no problems.

I got a piece of kitchen worktop from Freecycle and put the tumble dryer on that above the washing machine. Cost nothing, still absolutely solid years later and there's somewhere to put the washing liquid etc.
