Washing machine fluff filter

I've cleaned out the fluff in the filter and found there is water where the filter is placed in the compartment. Is it this normal or do I need to remove the water?

Yes, that is normal, you need to try and get a shallow container under it or it will flow over your floor.

Yes, that is how mine always is, just close the filter flap.

Thanks! Will the water overflow or will it always stay below a certain level?

I normally put something under it and let it drain out, but there is always a small amount left, but never had it leak after filter is back in.
