Steam oven - worth it?

I need to replace one of my ovens and I was thinking of getting a steam oven. Has anyone got any thoughts about how useful they are? They seem a great idea, but I worry they are a bit gimmicky. I would still have a normal fan oven, so it would be an addition, not a replacement.

I use mine all the time. Very handy for warming plates and cooking large dishes. Wouldn't be with out it now.

Which one are you looking at?

I've seen a couple of Miele ones on eBay. I think it's the dg5060 model.

I have one but it's used only for cooking rice. Biggest waste of money for me. Disclaimer: I am not a good cook.
