Carpet cleaning advice please, HSS hire?

They do hire for £25 a day.

Or would people recommend buying some kind of steam cleaner that they can then re use?

Would appreciate your advice.

I have a sleepwalker who is peeing on the carpet at night so I need a really good cleaner.

Also is the standard carpet cleaning fluid particularly toxic? Are there any alternatives.

I've used one of those machines from HSS and it was hard work. Rug Doctors are easier to use ime.

the carpet machines wet it with detergent, then suck it straight up, detergent and dirt, leaving it almost dry.

Would a steam cleaner suck it up?
