Washer dryer or washing machine & heated clothes dryer?

Desperately need a new washing machine and am fed up with clothes drying all over various radiators in winter. Am torn between a washer dryer and just getting a washing machine and then one of those heated dryer things. Budget about £400.

Any advice, anyone please?

We a bought separate dryer when the dryer part of our washer dryer packed up. It always seemed to take ages to dry and obviously I couldn't wash and dry at the same time. So assuming space is your issue, I'd get a heated drying rack and very good spin washing machine.

I've got a washing machine and a heated dryer hanging thing from Lakeland. Much cheaper than a tumble dryer and the clothes are usually dry overnight.
