I wish I had known this sooner!!

So, this might be a commonly known thing but this was brand new information to me!

I have a stainless steel back splash and surround on my oven. I've had it 2 years, and I have cleaned it with anti-bac spray but it has forever been clean but marked and dull and really old looking. Someone told me to use baby oil on it and it polished up an absolute dream! It serious looks brand new, I'm so happy to known this! I had almost written it off for looking forever dirty.

Anyone else find out something that changed their cleaning life?

DP has asked that I thank MN for suggesting bleach on marked bath sealant. He put bleach on, sqidged loo roll into the edges and left it for a few hours. Works perfectly.

I wonder if you could use vegetable oil on stainless steel instead (would be handier as I have it in the kitchen cupboard!)

Belly, does baby oil work on the nightmare that is brushed stainless steel? Sink is 2 years old and looks horrible...

That my glass part of my oven door comes out to clean, spent ages trying to shove cloths in between the door and glass.

I also love my removable glass oven door for cleaning!

No idea about vegetable oil. My backsplash is a sort of dull stainless steel - which makes me think it is a brushed stainless steel! It's worth a try Solar, if it doesn't work it'll wash off with washing up liquid anyway I would assume as it's an oil!

I used to use wd40 on my stainless steel appliances. I quite like the smell!

You can use the baby oil on any stainless steel that isn't polished to a high shine, it will always help with water stains and fat splashes I hear olive oil is fine too.
