Im a nanny/housekeeper working for a (new) really lovely, fair family.
They're going away for 2 weeks and i've suggested me going in the day before they get back to freshen the place up. The mum was delighted at the idea of "coming home to a stocked fridge". Im planning on clean bed sheets, general clean, shopping in and a few meals cooked for them to cover the weekend. but I want to do more.
After coming back from holiday what would you like to come home to?

WOW! Want to come and live with me?!
I'd love...
Grass cut. Plants watered - inside and out.
Post sorted into wanted/recycling etc.
General dust/hoover.
Windows open for a bit so house smells fresh.
Bascis in the fridge (milk, veg etc).

You sound lovely - for me the main thing is that the house isn't stale. I hate that about coming home from holiday.

Oh and the fridge being stocked with healthy foods would be lovely. I always crave fresh food after holiday.

Anything else?

Yummy bread, tray laid for afternoon tea (or breakfast, depending on time of arrival), fresh flowers in a vase.

All post nearly stacked on side, surfaces dusted, milk etc. in 'fridge. If you make cakes then one of them.

Clean sheets, clean towels, gleaming bathrooms, and an empty laundry basket.
