pure white soap, soft damp sponge, work it up into a foam on your hand, massage the foam on, wipe off with soft white cotton cloth, polish up with soft clean cotton vest duster when dry.

Do not use enough water to make the leather wet or get into the stitching. Use nothing coloured as it will leave a stain.

For day-to-day, use baby wipes.

If it was expensive, you can buy an overpriced cleaning and dressing kit for leather upholstery from furniture shops.

Try my trusty Flash Maguc Eraser?

If you ever get biro on it, use hairspray and then wipe off.
